The birth and evolution of the Ford GT – the iconic car that won Le Mans four times in the 1960s – will be explored at an event at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia on June 4th. The “Birth and Evolution of the Ford GT” will have on display, for the very first time at the same place, all the racing variations of the Ford GT: Mk I, Mk II, and Mk IV, as well as a Lola Mk 6, the car many believe was the inspiration for the Ford GT. 

What is your favorite feature on our world-famous 1970 Porsche 917-043? This is your chance to see all the little details that makes this historic race car a legend. We have opened it up, taken off the wheels and nose, and have it on display in our main space so you can catch it from every angle. Come check out the Hippy Porsche like never before.

We know that if you are a fan of the museum, then you also love our Demo Days! Where else in the world can you learn about, and later see, some of the greatest race cars in the history of racing? We were recently putting together concepts for our 2023 season and came to the realization that we had never included one of the most valuable resources in that conversation, you!

Due to inclement weather in the Philadelphia region, the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum will be closed, Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Beginning Monday, January 3, 2022 all guests to the Simeone Museum that are attending events that include food or drink will be required to provide proof of full COVID vaccination.
