Kick off our "History of Le Mans" 3-part series with one of the most iconic cars in the history of Le Mans, courtesy of one of the most iconic specialty car designers and restorers of our day, Rob Ida, from Morganville, NJ.
The birth and evolution of the Ford GT – the iconic car that won Le Mans four times in the 1960s – will be explored at an event at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia on June 4th. The “Birth and Evolution of the Ford GT” will have on display, for the very first time at the same place, all the racing variations of the Ford GT: Mk I, Mk II, and Mk IV, as well as a Lola Mk 6, the car many believe was the inspiration for the Ford GT.
This event has been cancelled. We will send out a notification if/when we are are able to reschedule.

2023 is the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the MG Car Company in Abingdon-on-Thames and the Simeone Museum will be honoring this legendary marque with the Best of Britain devoted to just MGs. We are hoping to have over two dozen examples in the show, spanning the pre- and post-war models. The show will run from February 11 to February 18.
