Dr. Simeone discussed the beginnings of Automobile Racing. Henry Ford is often attributed as saying “Auto racing started after the second car was built.” We tend to agree with that sentiment. The Model T was introduced in 1908, but sports cars were being raced both here and in Europe for years before the first “Tin Lizzie” came off the assembly line. Dr. Simeone explored the history and technology that started it all.
