Dr. Simeone traced the roots of the SCCA all the way back to the Automobile Racing Club of America. The SCCA is one of the most prominent automobile clubs in America today. Since 1948, the SCCA has sanctioned both amateur and professional road racing, rallying, and autocross events across America. SCCA Demo Day Part 1 focused on pre-war WWII racing in America that led to the eventual creation and growth of the Sports Car Club of America. Featured cars were the 1921 Vauxhall 30/98E Velox Tourer, the 1927 Bentley 3 Litre Speed Model, the 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS, and the 1937 BMW 328.
