Move aside Europe — the best car collection in the world is in Pennsylvania.
The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia earned the top spot in the 2019 ranking by the Classic Car Trust, beating out the collections of acclaimed designer Ralph Lauren and Miles Collier, whose father and uncle helped found the Sports Car Club of America.
Founded by retired neurosurgeon Fred Simeone in 2008, the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum is filled with more than 70 cars dating as far back as 1907. You’ll find winners of the greatest endurance car races in history, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, Mille Miglia in Italy, 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida and the 24 Hours Nurburgring in Germany. On select Saturdays you can even watch the cars come to life, revving their engines and racing around the museum’s track.
