Four cars that brought home the trophy from the major international endurance races – including Le Mans, Sebring, Targa Florio, and Daytona, were discussed. They were all part of the overall quest for the World Sports Car Championship. This highly coveted prize was held by only five manufacturers from 1952 to 1973. The Ferrari 375 MM, Aston Martin DBR1, Ford GT40, and Porsche 917 were four of the cars.
