Phenomenal private collection of some of the rarest cars in the world, right here in Philly! A MUST go, worth the trip and the adventure to get there, near the airport. Thank you Dr. Simeone for bringing a little slice of history to us in Philly!
All the race cars in this great museum run! You’ll see classic Ferraris, Bugattis, Dusenbergs, and Corvettes, among many others. Maybe even Jay Leno some days. A 1911 was the oldest car think I saw. You could visit this place on a layover at Philadelphia International Airport, like I did. It’s that close!
This place has cars. Lots and lots of cars. Took my 17 year old son who has no interest in anything because he is 17 and he was amazed and smiled. Best part is that no one is here so you have the place to yourself pretty much. I would love to go back I understand Dr. Simeone drives one every weekend and gives lectures.
My grandson loves cars and we were delighted to take him to this museum. Many of the cars cannot be touched, but there is a working motor to inspect and on most Saturdays, there are demonstrations of cars behind the museum. We saw a recreation of a Bonneville Flats race.
Fascinating collection of vintage race cars carefully assembled by Dr. Fred Simeone, a prominent Philadelphia neurosurgeon. Car buffs are like kids in a candy store. The cars are unreal…stuff you read about growing up. Location is a little out of the way, around the Philadelphia Airport area, but parking is available. Very highly recommended.
We have been annual members for 2 years. The Simeone Museum has great cars on display and wonderful demo days where they take those cars out in the back and drive them around. They give lots of background information on the particular cars. They also have a series of photography classes that our son has participated in and he has found them very helpful!
