George Levy, author of the acclaimed new biography, “Jim Hall, Texas Legend,” will be leading a discussion about the creator of the Chaparral and what many feel was the greatest racing series of all time, the Can-Am. Joining Levy on stage for the discussion will be Don Cox, who worked with Hall as part of GM’s R&D “Skunkworks”; Ed Welburn, who was head of Global Design for GM; Can-Am Crew Chief Jack Deren, and two drivers from the Can-Am era, Steve Durst and Bobby Brown. Interspersed in the program will be several recorded interviews with Jim Hall II, the son of Jim Hall, who will recount his experiences around the team as a young boy.
A limited number of copies of Levy’s new book will be available for purchase and signing.
This event is included with any museum general admission ticket and is free for all Simeone Museum members.
Regular admission is $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for seniors, and free for children under the age of 18.
