Demo Days

Demo Days at the Simeone Museum offer a rare opportunity to see historically significant racing sports cars brought to life. Unlike a traditional museum visit, Demo Days allow guests to experience select cars not only as works of design and engineering, but as living machines in motion.

The program begins at 11:00 AM with scrutineering, which runs for approximately 30 minutes. This portion of the day gives visitors a closer look at the featured cars before they take to the tarmac. The formal Demo Day presentation begins at 12:00 PM, with historical commentary and interpretation, followed by the live vehicle demonstration.

Guests can expect a deeper look into the history, purpose, and competitive significance of each featured car, along with the unforgettable sound and spectacle of seeing them driven on the museum’s 3 acre tarmac. Demo Days are a central part of the Simeone Museum experience and reflect Dr. Simeone’s belief that these cars should be preserved, studied, and carefully exercised so their history can be fully understood.
